Gold prices were retreating from record highs Tuesday as investors took profits after gold blew past $1,900 an ounce.Barrick Gold Corporation| ABXdgold Resources Ltd.| GOLDfor December delivery was down $20 at $1,871.10 an ounce at the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. The gold price has traded as high as $1,917.60 and as low as $1,867.80 while the spot gold price was tanking more than $31, according to Kitco's gold index.
